Ketamine infusion therapy may be recommended for:
- Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)

- Chronic low back pain
- Post-surgical or cancer-related pain
It is most commonly used when pain is severe, chronic, and resistant to other treatments.
How Does Ketamine Infusion Therapy Work?

- This reduces abnormal pain signaling
- It helps “reset” pain pathways and reduce hypersensitivity
What to Expect During the Procedure
Before the Procedure
- Evaluation of your pain condition and prior treatments
- Review of medications and medical history
During the Procedure
- Ketamine is administered through an IV infusion
- You are closely monitored in a controlled setting
- Sessions typically last 40 minutes to several hours, depending on the protocol
After the Procedure
- Observation period until effects wear off
- You will need someone to drive you home
- Temporary drowsiness or altered sensation may occur
Benefits of Ketamine Infusion Therapy
✔ Effective for treatment-resistant chronic pain
✔ Works differently from opioids and traditional medications
✔ May provide rapid pain relief
✔ Can reduce reliance on other pain medications
✔ Helpful for neuropathic and complex pain conditions
Some patients experience pain relief lasting weeks after a series of treatments.

I was experiencing a lot of back pain and got an appointment very quickly. I saw Dr. Dalal and she immediately determined a plan. I have had both cortisone shots and nerve ablation. I am so much better and I owe it all to the attention and great treatment from Kansas Pain Management, specifically Dr. Dalal. I highly recommend this office.Posted on Bradley DuVallTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My neurosurgeon referred me to Dr Kneeman as there was nothing else he could do for me surgically with all the imaging was not showing anything that was causing my issues. My 1st visit with Dr Kneeman was very comforting, he listened to me, and was in no rush to get out of the room like my previous 2 pain management Drs were. And he listened to me when I had told him about my GP had given me trigger spot injection and stopped the pain for maybe 2 days. He asked me to point to where that injection was given. He said that's your SI Joint! So we made an appointment for injections under xray guidance into that joint. Worked wonders, so we did the other side also later. They lasted about 2 months, and had to wait 3 months before I could have another one. Which I did! Each one lasted a shorter amount of time, so he talked to me about having a SI Joint fusion. I was reluctant after going through a L3,4,5 fusion and the pain that went with it and the recovery time. But he explained that this is a much easier surgery to recover from and it is done out patient! I had the surgery done, and I was able to walk to the car afterwards, now I will say it was pretty spicy by the time I got home 80 miles away. But I could move around the house using 2 canes, next day down to 1 cane, and by day 4 I was doing stairs. There was stiffness that took close to 3 months to totally get worked out. But I just had my 90 day visit and I am able to stand and cook dinner and wash the dishes now, walk short distances again, not all of my pain was from this SI joint obviously as this was may 4th surgery. And this pain had set in after my fusion. Which after some research i found it is common for the SI joints to fail after lumbar fusions. If I had to give a number I would say 65% of the pain on that side was gotten rid of. My symptoms mimicked Sciatica, pain sleeping on my side, hip pain, leg pain, setting pain, standing pain.Posted on Julie HildTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
