Trigger Point Injections
What is it?
Trigger point injections (TPI) are used to treat muscular pain or myofascial pain.
How does it work?
A small needle is inserted into a painful muscle and a process of dry needling is carried out. After the dry needling, a small amount of local anesthetic and/or steroid may be injected.
What conditions does it treat?
Trigger point injections are intended to treat myofascial pain (muscular pain and spasm).
