Post-Herpetic Neuralgia

What is it?
Post Herpetic Neuralgia, commonly known as shingles, is a viral re-infection caused by the chickenpox virus. This re-infection leads to an extremely painful rash which is considered to be life-altering in nature.
What are some symptoms?
- Sleep-depriving pain which gives the feeling of a burn
- Itching and oversensitivity to touch
- Extreme muscle weakness, numbness, or even paralysis
